220g | 1 cup yellow split peas
350ml | 1.5 cup water
2tbsp chickpea flour
100g | 1 cup walnuts
2tbsp finely chopped parsley with stems
2 garlic cloves
salt and black pepper to taste
❗You can add your favourite herbs and spices to the recipe to get your favourite flavour.
❗You can use dairy-free yogurt, salsa or chutney as a dip sauce
Rinse and drain 220g | 1 cup yellow split peas
Pour 350ml | 1.5 cup water
Simmer until water absorbed
Transfer cooked yellow split peas to a mixing bowl
Mash with potato masher
Add 2tbsp chickpea flour
Chop 100g | 1 cup walnuts and 2tbsp finely chopped parsley with steams
Finely chop 2 garlic cloves
Season with salt and black pepper
Pour 1tbsp oil
Mix until combined
Shape into small patties
Heat a little olive oil in a non stick skillet.
Fry the patties on a medium heat for about 5 minutes on each side until golden and crispy.
